Plot (short): After finding Snapshot, I found also this similar course (same authors) but for a younger audience. There are 2 DVD, the other is Kirsty's Secret (2005, coming soon). VHS released 2005, DVD 2009. 4-level course.

I think the books first released in 2005 as well. There's also New Sky (2009). At least the New Sky has a "live book" (digi libro). with a CD, probably a CD-ROM. The courses have CD-ROMs (Multi ROM) and 3 audio CDs (Class CD, maybe MP3). The CD-ROM (Sky) is on archive.org and has MP3 and 8 very short flv movies (~15-30 seconds each, pic 1+3, maybe not from the DVD Life in Britain). I haven't watched the DVD yet.

Also used at least in Italy. In Poland as Sky High.

Elementary School English (YBM Kim, 2020)

I found another South Korean clips on YouTube from uploader Jayedu. Playlist 2020GH English Class. Not exactly sure about the title. Grades 5 and 6. Original source are from YBM digital textbook (webdt.edunet). Pic from Grade 5 Lesson 7 What Time Do You Get up? unit 2. YouTube title 초등학교 5학년 영어 ybm(김) 7단원 2차시 디지털교과서 활용 학습 안내.

Different clips "Think and Talk" including songs "Let's sing". Few and short clips. Not sure if there's a CD-ROM/DVD version as well. Hard to research. I don't know Korean.

Elementary School English (Kevin and Ann)

Year published/aired: 2006 (books 1991-2002)

Year produced/filmed: 1999

Production country: South Korea ?

Additional media: teacher books

Material publisher:

Novel available:

Other literature:

Plot (short): A course from South Korea. At least for grades 3-6. There are supplement CD-ROMs for each grade, but I think only grades 5+6 have these live-action scenes. Characters are Jinho, Nami, Mrs. Smith, Peter, Joon, and Ann. Kevin, Mike, Jenny, and Sam appear only in American scenes, and Kevin appears in Korea. Kevin (pic 2 below) was also named Bill in 5th grade. Pic 1 showing Joon with painted freckles.

Setting is South Korea and there are Korean children such as Mina and Minsu, but the school is an elementary school attended by Americans, probably a foreign school.

I don't know Korean, but I did some research, mainly for the CDs. Best source is the Namu Wiki and the Naver blog.

The main book cartoon character and maybe the series title is Jito (in English Zeeto) Korean 지토. It's a small green flying Alien. (The Book title is 영어 (what means English) and below Elementary School English and the grade). The Alien isn't pictured on the cover but kids. Update: pictured on grade 3+4 books. Book publishers for grade 3+4 was Genius Education aka Chunjae (천재교육), For grade 5+6 Kumsung Publishing aka Geumseong (금성출판사).

Not much is known about the actors. On the Namu wiki I found at least one name of a Korean child actor, Ahn Jae-hong (안재홍 * 1989). Korean title: 초등학교 영어5. Best search term 추억의 초등학교 영어 CD.

All clips (live-action and animation/clay) of grade 6 (on 13 pages), other clips are on YouTube, mainly uploader wayhenry.

English G 21 e-Workbook

I searched again for English G 21 Viewing but still couldn't find pics. Instead I found English G 21 A1 Workbook (Feb 2007, grade 5) with CD ROM and e-workbook on it. Not sure if there are clips, at least audio files with pics. Book has 6 units (blue cover).

There are many other supplements like Handreichungen, Ferienheft, audio CDs, and some DVDs. Also another editions with CD-ROMs (Interaktive Präsentationen) Whiteboard. And additional readers.

The recent editions ("Access") usually have access to online clips.

Check link above and the A-Z list for the DVDs. Including later series English G Lighthouse/Access. And Lighthouse (2022).

Pic 1 is from Level 5, video 2 My Family, pic 2 below from level 6, video 1 Our Summer Holidays. From official samples, old edition (Bisherige) (2018 ?) but obviously the same as the 2023 edition.  Sorry, I forgot this. Camden Market Junior also coming soon. Same, different design on the editions (for more see Camden Town).

All DVDs are for teachers only.

And Audio CD with DVD for teachers. New edition 3 has DVD for teachers. Older editions had a 3 disc set (Audio disc, DVD-ROM, Video DVD).

There are CD-ROMs Multimedia Language Trainer (year 2000?, unknown if have videos, probably not, later called Multimedia Sprachtrainer). Audio CDs probably have kids and grown ups. Interactive Whiteboard DVD-ROMs (at least for Camden Town) don't have videos (but audio and pics).

There are related series like Camden Town (incl. Camden Town Advanced, 3 DVDs for teachers UK/USA) and Camden Market. Camden Town has student's workbooks with DVDs.

Some samples can be watched on the official site. At least titles of contents can be watched on the BiBox 2.0 site. Previews for units 1-3 but needs logged-in as teacher for almost all clips. Some more clips on the old edition. There are also (watermarked) previews of books showing some tiny screen caps of clips.

Plot (short):  A six-level primary course for kids. Including videos called "Sketches", "Songs" and "Stories", letter one maybe animations only. My favourite scene is from Level 3 Unit 4 (sketches, pictured), official YouTube sample from Macmillan Polska. The boy called Tom also appeared at least in Level 1+2 (songs) in other clothes and also in a dark suit and tie (Level 3 unit 1 sketches). Also good outside in Level 3 unit 3.

There are DVDs (2011 and 2017 edition) at least still in Poland (levels 2+3), but I think this old course is not available anymore on the main site. For grades 1-3 (in Poland, maybe 1st English courses would be grade 5 elsewhere?). Most book and other DVD contents (at least early levels) are simple illustrations and animations. DVDs are region code 0. Teacher's packs are Multi ROM, probably DVD-ROM with more contents (worksheets, notes and for IWB interactive whiteboards). Oldest books are from Jan 2012. DVDs are obviously from 2011, maybe even film earlier. The 2011 (book) edition should differ greatly from 2012.

I found many official samples, not sure if that's complete. I also haven't checked book samples.

Songs should be on the CD-ROM but I don't know if video or audio only.

First published for Spain.

Update 2: Lighthouse / Access 2 (2022/2023)

I found some more book previews and clips. As usual, they first publish book #1 for 5th grade and later the other grades. July/November 2023. DVD 2 later. Noah is obviously much more shown than Joe. Noah has longer hair in book/DVD 2 (6th grade) and Joe has shorter hair and looking older (one year later, pictured on right next to Gloria and Daisy). Both looking like different actors. Lily (see other post) with her short hair looking almost like a boy. Maybe Joe is mainly or only shown in Access 2? They are often shown in their school uniforms.

The movie company is obviously Grasshopper Films Ltd. (set in Brighton, Claire Spencer) as credited in the books. (Not to be confused with Grasshopper Film, or German based Grasshopper Films). Pic taken from official book sample Lighthouse 2, Unit 5, courtesy of Cornelsen/Grasshopper Films (Fair Use).

There is also a new, short clip (showing younger Joe) on the official YouTube channel.

Double Trouble - ep 2

By coincidence, I also found episode 2 (Sorry, I'm late) on YouTube titled Double Trouble (1982), uploaded I think 9 years ago. Pic showing Bob at the shop trying to buy a guitar.

I haven't watched it completely, yet. And I haven't found more episodes.

I also found some few more other series aired in Sweden (SVT), coming soon.

Update 2: Double Trouble - episode found, 1982

I'm running out of series (even of the DVD courses), so I will only post occasionally.

Searching for books and videos of Double Trouble (assumed to be of 1984) hard to find, as there'a movie and other series of the same title, I found episode 1 by searching for its title: Heads or Tails. The series is from 1982 as shown on the ending credits.

Very interesting. The boy looks different than on my earlier pics. Hair a bit darker.

At the end there's also the cover of the book shown (I had pics, but just in b&w).

Penny played by Nicola Cowper

Bob Timothy Ward

Co-script, directed and produced by Eskil Garpebring. A similar, 1974 series from him with a boy and girl is Switch On (b&w). And Reporters. He also did Come and See Us.

A similar, earlier (2021) course with global scope (From the World of Better Learning) is Both Sides.

Episodes: unknown length (assumed to be very short)

Level 1:

Unit 1: 1. What things that change do you see?

1.2. Which four cities are in the video?

Plot (short):  Teen videos of different genres, including documentaries, school plays and sketches (OOP). I haven't found any clips or screenshots except this on the cover and no notable samples of the activity book. Classroom supplement DVD with optional English subtitles and exercises.

I also have checked the archives.

There were obviously at least 4 workbooks, ~72 pages each next to activity book included with the DVD.

According one author (Mark Hancock), the (books) were published in 2001. There also was "New Ways to go" in 2002, a four-level course especially for Spanish schools. Ramon Ribé only worked on levels 1-2.

A related DVD of that time (same authors but higher level) is the teen soap Newland Street (60 minutes, Kilombo Films). Maybe Kilombo also produced this one? Mark Hancock has some samples on his site including screenshots.

Plot (short): This is the old Access series, I think first published in 2014. There is also a 2017 and 2019 G9 series. The current 2022 is just called Access. (The DVDs for that will be released in July 2023).

As it's a sister series with Lighhouse/Headlight/Highlight, I first thought that Access also has the same DVDs (as set in Plymouth). The cover kids are always other kids, not shown on DVD. But obviously I'm wrong. However, some videos are the same.

Next to digital contents, there is a DVD series with the subtitle "The World behind the picture". The pic is from a brief sample included in the Unterrichtsmanager Plus (taken from Access 1, Unit 1.2 EVERYDAY ENGLISH Classroom English).

There's also another light blond boy called Sam Bennett. Other kids are red haired Abby Blackwell, Lucy Pascoe (probably pictured, raising her hand) and Justin Skinner. Another girl is called Maya, a boy Leo.

"A ferry trip to Cawsand" is the same as in English G Lighthouse. Letterboxing is confirmed the same as in Lighthouse 2 (so with those kids). Full books previews (with some screenshots) on edition G9 2019.
