English G Lighthouse 2

Unlike parts 3+4 (which have different teens in each part), part 2 (6th grade) has the  same actors like in the 1st part (Sarah, Paul and Anna, from left, for actor's name and staff see part 1). I found several screenshots in the official book preview. I hesitated to order this, as they are often shown in school uniforms and in one episode with caps. Probably there are no more DVDs of them.

The plots are quite good and funny. Again set in and around Plymouth. All have longer hair, obviously filmed several months, up to one year later. Paul has not that fresh haircut. Orange jeans and dark blue pants 7/8th. Also starring again Tom, the older brother of Sarah (few scenes) and new Ethan, older cousin of Anna (unit 6 only). Also new actors (from other schools) in People and places. Tag rugby don't have handsome actors. Squashbox theatre has just a man. Meet Bilbo mainly a man. Lighthouse 1 is much better.

In unit 2, Paul wearing a ghost costume and white face (Tom as a vampire). DVDs are good, but for learning English it also needs the books and a teacher.

Screenshots of ep. Letterboxing (Paul with woollen cap) can be found in preview of school book Go Ahead 6

Headlight, Highlight and Lighthouse (English G) are obviously the same DVDs. Books are slightly different as aimed at different school types.

Letterboxing and maybe some few more episodes also appear on DVD English G Access (2014/2017/2019).

Units: episodes ~5 minutes each

The Kids from Harbour Road

1. Oh dear, oh dear!

2. Halloween night (inside)

3. Vote for Paul! (mainly at school, class representative)

4. Sarah's pasties (pictured)

5. Letterboxing

6. Where's Anna? (sightseeing)

People and Places:

1. The drama club (several kids)

2. A tour of my neighbourhood (boy)

3. At Dartmoor Zoo (girl)

4. Tag rugby (mainly teens)

5. Meet Bilbo! (man with lifeasaver dog)

6. Squahbox theatre (puppeteer)

Update: Lighthouse / Access (2022)

The previous post, showing other kids, taken from the Behind the scenes clip from the official Cornelsen channel. The new pic above is taken from the new book preview of Access 1 (5th grade), courtesy: Cornelson (Fair use). There are 5 kids from Garville Road. From left Noah Williams, Alice Shaw, Zane Adebayo and Lily Hall. "The five kids from Brighton". Unpictured: Sunita Chandra. There are several more good pics in the book. More infos about the characters on the concept page (advanced edition).

Either the other kids are from Access 2 or 3 or are in the sub series (People and Places ?). There are no previews of the other books. To be published in July. (Video DVDs maybe a bit later). Lighthouse and Access don't have "English G" anymore in the title. G is I think for Gesamtschule.

I also have ordered the DVD English G Lighthouse 2 (having the same kids as in 1, update soon).

I probably won't order the new DVD, but wait for a cheaper one in used condition.

I found some more earlier series with DVDs but most kids/teens are not that handsome and I don't need all DVDs, although some older DVDs are cheap, others are rare and expensive.

Most older DVDs/DVD-ROMS have few scenes and include animations or other stuff. Same for Audio CDs. Most ones are obviously speaken by grown-ups only (as the free samples suggest). I only found one (older) CD with confirmed kid voice actors.

Update: Noah is obviously much more shown than Joe. Noah has different hair styles looking much different, I thought that they were 2 different actors. Joe has shorter hair in Access 2, also looking different (and one year older). Lily with her short hair almost looks like a boy. Also see update 2 (linked in the main post).

Reports in English: Canada

Another, this time a 2 part series, subseries of "Reports in English - Canada, USA and South Africa", which is part of Reports in English. 15 minutes each, bilinguar, 8th grade. I found this only via archive.org.

-Canada: Montreal - Fashion and Music

-Canada: Aboriginal TV (pictured)

The episode about Montréal (showing a young, short haired blonde lady, maybe the clothes designer Tina Mendoza). It's also about DJ "Kod Koala".

The other episode (pictured) is about the Natives (culture and languages of more than 60 tribes) and their TV channel Aboriginal People's Television Network (APTN).

Reports in English: Teens in London

Another subseries of Reports in English. Reports in English - Great Britain & Ireland (~2008). 3 parts, 10 minutes each, bilinguar. Grades 7-10.

3. Teens in London: Alice & her Music (15 yo in Greenwich) singing

5. Teens in London: Lucy & her Egyptian Family (13 yo)

I already had a pic of this episode in the main entry. I now found the complete clip, I think on planet schule via archive.org. Main character Chris is in the yellow shirt. They are also shown eating inside a cafe (instead of learning, one day before the exam in physics).
