Update: People You Meet

I found this book cover of People You Meet (I think first aired 1973, book edition 1975). It shows 3 screenshots in color. Previously I only had a b&w pic. BBC. Series: English by Radio and Television.

Again, worldcat was very helpful. Publisher Itoh and the Berlitz School of Language (Japan) B&CI. Itoh is aka C. Itoh and Co Inc. Not much more can be found (maybe in Japanese). Berlitz also published Summer in Seattle (1990). Berlitz School of Language (America) published some more later. I haven't found anything about the producer.

Berlitz & C.Itoh (Berlitz & C. Itoh) also published "On Business Abroad", "Living Abroad" (6 VHS) and "First Step Abroad". C. Itoh (founded by Chubei Itoh) was renamed in 1992 again in Itochu (伊藤忠商事株式会社).

Not to be confused with Enjoy English (2006) or Let's Enjoy English.

Update: Let's Watch, Nelson Filmscan

I try to find more info and pics for the early series without pics (some appear on the TOP posts). I still haven't found any pics or clips or episode titles of this 1983 series. At least I found these covers and some few more details. 60 minutes running time. Updated full names of the authors (of the working materials) Gill Sturtridge, Ron White, Eddie Williams.

Another additional credits (working material ?) Saxon Menne (I have some more from him). And some more details about/other works by director Malcolm Hossick. I also haven't found much more details of The Visitor. Maybe "Starwise" is just the title of the Scandinavian (main) title.

About Nelson Filmscan. I found some magazine PDFs (Japanese JALT) with some ads. Nelson is the early Edinburgh publisher Thomas Nelson & Sons, Ltd. Later, I think in the late 80s (eg 1986), maybe depending on the countries, there was Filmscan/Lingual House (USA) with that speech balloon. The best online source is still Worldcat.

Update: Family and Friends

I already had a post about this Oxford course. I recently checked some more episodes.

Pic 1 from level 6 (2nd ed). Clip is 1:58. Pic 2 from level 2 (2nd ed). Clip is 1:41. Fluency clips. Good, different aged actors. I haven't checked the complete length of the DVDs/DVD-ROMs. I think 15 units per level and around 3 clips each (2-3 minutes each).

On the main site I found (additional) 15 units with animated clips only under stories.

There's also a related 2 level pre-school series called "First Friends" (don't know if having live-action scenes) and American English versions of Family and Friends.
